Our Products & Services

GETA’s mission is to promote gay tourism in Europe. A key element of this is helping our members to grow their businesses by learning more about the gay market and how to work effectively within it.

Who are gay tourists? What are their needs and preferences? Find out what makes them tick.

  2. APPEAL >
How do you develop products and services that will appeal to this high-spending market?

  3. REACH >
How do you best reach gay tourists? What marketing techniques and messages work best?

GETA Guru is the best way for tourism businesses to understand gay tourism. GETA Guru tells you all about gay tourists, how to ensure that your product appeals to them and how to market to them.

Each month GETA Guru will focus on a different element of gay tourism combining research, articles, case studies and forums to provide a comprehensive, interactive examination of a particular subject which will help your business to grow.

Over the years GETA Guru will build into a comprehensive library which will be an invaluable resource for members.

Our first GETA Guru post looks for the first time ever at the size of the European gay tourism market. Future posts will examine issues such as what gay consumers expect and how to promote your business to gay people.

All GETA members will have access to a synopsis of GETA Guru content. Executive members will have access to the full content.

GETA Guru gives you the information and advice that you need to make your business a success.

Gay Welcome

GETA has developed Gay Welcome, Europe's biggest gay tourism website. The site provides companies and organisations with a powerful new channel to market to gay tourists. The site allows visitors to search for gay and gay-friendly accommodation, read Destination Guides, find gay events and catch up on the latest travel news. Hotel owners will find the property listings a powerful way to market their rooms, while companies and organisations in other sectors will be able to place banner ads and promote themselves through the site's regular newsletters.

Gay Media Directory

Our Gay Media Directory is unique. It lists all the major gay and lesbian magazines in the world, making planning your advertising campaigns quicker and more effective. The Directory will also (eventually) house a list of the top gay and lesbian websites, TV and radio channels and other forms of media.

As well as listing magazines by country, the Media Directory also summaries their circulation and gives access to contact details and each magazine's 'Media Kit' in PDF format.

The Gay Media Directory is accessible only to Executive Members of GETA.

Articles & Research

All of the articles and research that make up much of our GETA Guru offering are also available via our Research Centre and Articles Section.

GETA Members Directory

Our members directory is a great way to improve your organisation's networking - giving you immediate access to hundreds of other companies and organisations looking to work within the gay tourism sector in Europe. You can even add a Member-to-Member promotion to your listing, to help generate leads.

Our Forum is a great way for you to ask questions to others in the GETA community.

Where’s the catch?

With membership of GETA and a listing on Gay Welcome being free, there must be a catch? No. No catch. GETA's founders are just people involved in gay tourism who want to grow the industry and who have been frustrated by the lack of support for European gay Tourism. That’s why we founded GETA and Gay Welcome.
'Standard Membership' of GETA and Gay Welcome is free because we want to be inclusive and comprehensive. It is only if Gay Welcome offers the widest selection of accommodation and advice that we can ensure that gay travelers will return again and again and make it the most visited gay Tourism website for Europe. We make our money from advertising, membership upgrades and promotions.
GETA is a new organization with big ambitions for offering services to help our members. Our consumer website, Gay Welcome, has over 3,000 listings and will be widely publicised to gay travelers. Over time the library of research, helpful articles and the forum topics will build into a valuable archive of material to help you develop and grow your business.
So, you can afford to be a member of GETA but you can’t afford not to be.
